Why is it worth investing in Małopolska?

Małopolska is one of the fastest-growing regions in Poland – modern, entrepreneurial and strongly technology-oriented. Businesses find ideal conditions for growth here: a skilled workforce, a stable economic environment and an ecosystem conducive to innovation.

Over 500,000 active companies, the region’s high share of the country’s GDP (8.1%) and low unemployment create a mature, stable market. It is an environment in which it is easier to build partnerships, scale up production and recruit skilled staff.

Małopolska and the Kraków Technology Park have been recognised twice in the international fDi Intelligence rankings, confirming the region’s investment appeal in the eyes of global experts.

  • 40%-70%

In Małopolska, businesses can claim a tax relief of between 40% and 70%. This means that you can recoup more than half of your investment expenditure through CIT or PIT.

  • 14 years

Any company that receives a decision granting support has 14 years to claim the public aid to which it is entitled against its CIT or PIT liability. This offers considerable flexibility — you can claim the relief gradually, as your business grows and your income increases.

  • 100,000 PLN

To apply for a tax relief under the PSI scheme, an investment of PLN 100,000 is sufficient (e.g. the purchase of machinery, modernisation of a production line, new technologies or plant expansion). The scheme has been designed to support smaller projects as well – meaning that even modest investments can yield tangible tax savings.
